Sound Pressure Level Reporting App Mac

The Universal App Quick Start Program includes all the tools, resources, and support you need to build, test, and optimize your next-generation Universal apps for macOS Big Sur.

  • Measure noise levels with Apple Watch. The Noise app on Apple Watch Series 4 and later measures the ambient sound levels in your environment using the microphone and duration of exposure. When Apple Watch detects that the decibel level has risen to a point where hearing could be affected, it can notify you with a tap on the wrist.
  • The app also reports the main metrics that are of importance for proper occupational noise measurements – mainly the run time (total time), the A-weighted Equivalent Sound Level (LAeq), the Maximum Level measured during the current run time, the C-weighted Peak Sound Pressure Level (LCpeak), the Time-Weighted Average (TWA) and Dose.
  • Apr 09, 2014  For more info and to download the app, see the NIOSH sound level meter app page. A Larson-Davis Model 831 type 1 sound level meter was used to verify sound pressure levels. Smartphones were set up on a stand in the middle of the chamber at a height of 4 feet and approximately 6 inches from the reference microphone as shown in Figure 1.

The Projector PRO software displays the XL2 screen in real-time via USB on the connected Windows or Mac computer. For repeated event monitoring, e.g. A festival over several days, the sound level monitoring starts automatically when the computer starts up and ends again with the shutdown. Sound Level and Noise Exposure Calculators. A selection of free web-based applications to assist you with your noise assessments, calculations and reporting. These applications run in your browser, so there is no installation necessary.
